Our Beach Baby Shower Event Photography

Our Santa Barbara Baby Shower Event Photography ~ The Beach BBQ Baby Bonanza

We are truly overwhelmed with love and gratitude for all of the support we received from our friends, this past Saturday. Saturday night, I was exhausted from the party, but couldn’t fall asleep because I kept thinking about all of the wonderful moments that happened that day. Honestly, I was feeling a little emotional about it all. I wish I would have had more time to talk to everybody that was there. Our little girl isn’t even here yet, and I already understand “it takes a village.” Thank you, Kitty and Emily, for helping us host our Beach BBQ Baby Bonanza 🙂 Apparently, Mike and I are fans of alliteration!

Kitty actually made the flag banner, that surrounded our picnic tables, blocking off the section for our party. I have to point out that Kitty also got to the location at 6am, to ensure that we would get the beach spots we wanted. Talk about a great friend! She held the spots while I got a little extra sleep. Should I feel bad about that?

The best beach games (cornhole and ladder ball) were provided by Dee Dee, Mike’s co-worker…the party would not have been the same without those games! Many people brought food and drinks for the event. I should have made a note of what everybody brought. Please comment below, if  you get the chance, and tell those reading what your favorite part of the shower was…the community involvement really was heartwarming. We are so lucky to have such supportive friends. I really just wanted to have a pre-baby party, where people weren’t obligated to bring gifts, but it turned out that there were many gifts. I am overwhelmed by the support, and can’t thank everybody enough, for giving us such a special day and special moments.

I should have made sure we got more event photography of the guests, as there were about 50 people in attendance…but, we were having so much fun, and I didn’t have enough time to talk to everybody, anyway. Since there is a lack of guest photos, I’m including a little snippet of video at the bottom of the post. Dee Dee is right, I need to start taking more video, as I’m sure our little girl will love seeing those someday.

As with my baby shower in Indiana, and the cute sock bouquet Tia made, there was one gift that stood out creatively at this Santa Barbara baby shower…check out the photo of Kimi’s diaper cake, at the bottom of this post 🙂 How awesome is that?! There are hidden details you can’t even see, and personalized components, that make the gift even more special. Hooray for creativity! We have the best friends. Thank you, to everybody!!!
