50th Wedding Anniversary Event Photography

I went back to Indiana recently to celebrate my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary. The party was in Sharpsville, at a little 50s town, called “Summer Place” …population “Many Happy People” 🙂  …it was the perfect place to celebrate my parents and their 50 years of marriage.

My oldest sister really went above and beyond, to make this a special event. I contributed, but Julie was the one with all of the ideas and direction! I’m so glad she had the motivation, because not only was it wonderful to be with family, but this celebration also reminded me the importance of good friends. People came from many different places…a few even drove six hours or more, to be there! Goes to show what people think of my parents!

Of course, the party was over way too quickly, and we were all on our way, in separate directions…probably all thinking about how we wish we had more time together. That is what made this party so special, though…there were many important people there, that we don’t get to see enough. My best friend was their with her husband and three girls, which meant so much to me. Too bad my little girl, Lendel, slept for much of the party!

We are all so lucky to have such amazing people in our lives, and it is clear that we can thank my parents for that. They have set such a good example of marriage, friendship and family. Planning this party, and being there to witness the love, really gave me a visual reminder of what it means to be there for someone over the years. My parents have definitely been there for us whenever we need them, and it was obvious they had also been there for their friends and our friends, too.

Thanks, Mom & Dad…Happy 50th Wedding Anniversary…we could never thank you enough, for all of you have done. We love you, more than words can say!
