Being a Santa Barbara Newborn Photographer myself, this post is extra special. Kelsey Crews Photo is excited to announce the arrival of it’s newest team member, Lendel Louise…weighing in at 7lb and 15 oz, and measuring 19.5 inches long. My husband coached me through a natural delivery, and I couldn’t be more proud. Lendel is happy and healthy. Our parents were in the delivery room, as well, which made the birth a really momentous and wonderful occasion for all. We are head over heels for this little girl.

Here she is, 4 days old.
Our hearts have melted. It is quite surreal that she is actually here, now. Our lives have changed forever, and we feel extremely blessed. I never could have imagined how this would actually feel. I wish I could bottle up all of these moments, and save them for the future. For instance, how can I bottle this baby smell, for later? I also need to save that feeling, when she grasps one of my fingers with her tiny little hand. Oh, how I am treasuring these moments, and wishing time could stand still for a bit.
Not to brag, but the doctor called Lendel the “star” baby…she is feisty and strong!
Here she is at 9 days old.
Lendel loves her Daddy! Here she is, one week old, on Daddy’s lap…happy as ever. I might be biased, but I do believe she has the best Daddy in the world. He is so in love with her, and even though he is working so hard, he never fails to lend a helping hand by changing diapers, offering me food or drink, and spending quality time with his daughter.
All of our friends and family have been so supportive, and we know that this process would not have gone so well without that help. We are truly thankful for the love of our community. Little Lendel is lucky to have all of you in her life.

Lendal is so beautiful. I’m so happy for you and for all of the incredible moments you’ll have with her. I had the same feelings after having our kids and I still do. I want to bottle up every moment…their smell, the feel of their soft skin, their cute voices that will soon mature, the funny things they say especially when trying out new words, and their growing personalities. I wish time would stand still too. You’ll remember the moments you’re experiencing now when you look back at these photos. I have very vivid dreams still about when the kids were babies and of nursing them. I always cherish them.
I’m so excited for all of the adventures you’ll have as your new family of 3. Wishing you all the happiness and love in the world!
